Goldie Hawn has opened up about her decision to leave Los Angeles due to rising crime rates. Speaking on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, the veteran actress revealed that her family’s safety was a significant concern after experiencing two break-ins within months.

Hawn shared that she and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, had been contemplating moving for some time. They considered Palm Desert a safer alternative, describing Los Angeles as “terrible” in its current state.

During the first break-in, sophisticated burglars managed to bypass their secure doors and ransacked their rooms, stealing valuables. Just four months later, their home was targeted again, leaving Hawn shaken. “They completely knocked down my door,” she recounted, emphasizing the advanced methods used by the intruders.
The repeated violations left a lasting impact, making Hawn feel perpetually on edge. She admitted that the events spurred her to take action, prioritizing her peace of mind.
Hawn’s experience reflects a broader issue, as several high-profile figures, including influencers and athletes, have also been victims of rising crime in Los Angeles.
