Two fishermen were having a nice morning on Lake Emory when they saw a dead person floating in the water. It turned into a nightmare. The scary find was caught on camera, and the video has since gone popular on social media.
Mark Wilkins, the fisherman who found it, was kayaking on the lake when he saw something strange in the water. He first thought it was a Halloween prop, but as he got closer, he was horrified to see that it was a real person.
Wilkins called 911 right away, and the operator caught his frantic conversation on video. He told the operator that he had seen a hand sticking out of the water and what looked like a body that was breaking down.
As the fisherman tried to make sense of what he was seeing, his shock and confusion were clear. John, his fishing partner, was also shocked and saddened by what he saw.
Wilkins said a prayer for the person who had died while he waited for the police to come. “Dear Lord, please rest that person’s soul,” he begged, his voice moving.
The body was found, and now the Franklin Police Department is looking into it. But the cops are still trying to figure out what happened when the woman died, even though they don’t know who she was or what killed her.
The terrible event is a sombre warning of how important it is to be ready for anything. If you ever find yourself in a similar position, experts say you should not touch anything and should call the police right away.
