Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have devoted their lives to taking care of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple welcomed their firstborn child while they were still members of the Royal Family, but when Lilibet arrived, they had been out of the Firm for more than a year.
Archie and Lilibet probably don’t know much about their parents’ rift with the royals. Unfortunately, this could negatively have effects on them in the future as their relationship with their royal cousins and other family members is non-existent.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have three children, and Harry and Meghan possibly would as well if it wasn’t for a tragic miscarriage. Archie and Lilibet are growing up fast, but is it possible that the Sussexes will have a third child?
Let’s find out what Harry and Meghan have said about it.

Around a year before Lilibet’s birth, Meghan Markle experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2020. In a personal article months later, Meghan shared the emotional moment: “Hours later, I lay in a hospital bed, holding my husband’s hand. Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief.”
Though the scars remain, Meghan finds joy in her family. A source told OK! Magazine she feels blessed to have Archie and Lilibet but experiences sadness around the miscarriage anniversary.
As Archie and Lilibet grow, Meghan admits feeling wistful about their baby years ending. Balancing family and work, she cherishes every moment while prioritizing her children’s schedules. A source shared, “She wants to show her children that mummies work as well, but family always comes first.”
On expanding their family, Harry and Meghan seem firm on having only two children. Harry previously stated his environmental concerns in 2019, saying, “Two, maximum.” Meghan echoed the sentiment during their 2021 Oprah interview, sharing gratitude for their “family of four.”
While a third child seems unlikely, Meghan and Harry focus on raising their children with love and purpose.
