Kent McCord married his high school sweetheart Cynthia Lee Doty in 1962, and the couple became parents to three kids. Since their high school days, the couple has been inseparable and celebrated their 60th anniversary with family. Few people know that it was the choices made during the filming of “Adam-12” that greatly influenced Kent’s life. Just three days before the final episode of the series, Kent and his wife experienced a “big event” – they welcomed their first son, which took the actor’s attention away from the series finale. For the next year, the actor’s focus was on making sure his family was cared for and renovating their house the way he wanted it to be. “Before and after that big event, I tackled projects that had piled up at home. Remodeling, painting, and landscaping. I hadn’t had time to do half the things I wanted to do around the house,” said Kent. The actor is known for his humility and for living a low-key lifestyle. Apart from his work in movies, Kent also worked as a reserve officer for the Los Angeles School Police department from 2005 till 2009. Today Kent, 80, still keeps busy by acting and voicing commercials and documentaries. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife while riding their bikes.
