William Shatner Confirms He Doesn’t Have Long To Live

At 91, Star Trek icon William Shatner has openly discussed his limited time left in a recent interview, coinciding with the release of his documentary, “You Can Call Me Bill.” Shatner’s primary motivation for the film was to create a lasting connection with his grandchildren, ensuring they have cherished memories of him after he’s gone. Acknowledging the brevity of life, Shatner emphasized his desire for his loved ones to remember him fondly. He takes great pride in being a grandfather to five grandchildren from his previous marriages.

Directed by Alexandre O. Philippe, the documentary premieres at the SXSW Film Festival and features appearances by Shatner’s daughters, Leslie, Lisabeth, and Melanie. In a 2014 interview, Shatner shared the immense joy his grandchildren bring him and the wisdom he aims to pass on to them.
Recently, Shatner made headlines by reuniting with his ex-wife, Elizabeth Martin, following their 2020 divorce. The couple spoke openly about their rekindled relationship at the Living Legends of Aviation Awards in January. Shatner’s life, marked by four marriages, is ultimately defined by his enduring legacy and strong family bonds.
