Jocelyn Wildenstein, a famous Swiss socialite known for her dramatic plastic surgeries, passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 84.
Her longtime partner, Lloyd Klein, shared details about her final moments and expressed his deep sadness over her death.
According to Klein, Jocelyn died peacefully while taking a nap. The couple had spent the evening enjoying a happy hour together and were preparing to celebrate New Year’s Eve. “We wanted to look good for the evening, so we decided to rest for a bit,” Klein told People magazine.
Tragically, when he woke up to get ready, he discovered that Jocelyn was unresponsive. “I said, ‘Jocelyn, we have to wake up, we have to get dressed,’ but she was cold and already gone,” Klein said.
Klein revealed that Jocelyn had been suffering from phlebitis, a condition involving inflammation of the veins that can lead to blood clots.
In Jocelyn’s case, it caused her legs to swell significantly and blocked blood flow, which resulted in a lack of oxygen to her brain. This ultimately led to her passing during their nap.
Reflecting on their time together, Klein described the days leading up to Jocelyn’s death as “perfect” and “beautiful.”
The couple had recently attended Fashion Week at Chanel and enjoyed dinner at the Ritz. Klein emphasized that Jocelyn appeared to be in good health during the holidays, saying, “She was in great shape, and we were at the top of our game.”
The loss was deeply painful for Klein, who had been with Jocelyn for 21 years. He expressed his heartbreak at losing his partner while they were planning to celebrate the New Year together. “It’s extremely sad to lay down with your other half and wake up to find them gone,” he said
