Amy Schumer Sa>>>>>>>>>

Amy Schumer has revealed that cruel ‘moon face’ remarks made on social media ultimately led to a shock health diagnosis.

The stand-up comedian appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast alongside host Alex Cooper and shared how online criticism about her swollen face prompted her to seek answers.

Reflecting on how she went viral for her changed appearance, Schumer said: “A year ago, the internet really came for me.”

The I Feel Pretty star had initially ignored the negative comments, dismissing them as typical online trolling, however, as doctors began chiming in on social media, she took notice.

Schumer recounted: “Doctors were commenting, saying, ‘No, something’s really going on. Your face looks unusual.’”

Speculation arose that the comedian may have Cushing syndrome, a condition caused by prolonged exposure to high cortisol levels, as explained by the Mayo Clinic.

Symptoms include a rounded face, a fatty hump between the shoulders, and distinctive stretch marks.

At first, Schumer brushed off the remarks, saying: “F*** off,” but eventually she connected the dots.

She had been receiving steroid injections for scars related to her breast reduction surgery and a cesarean section following the 2019 birth of her son, Gene.

These treatments were the likely cause of her condition.

Schumer admitted: “I wouldn’t have known if the internet hadn’t come for me so hard.”
