The Story:
I (27M) have been part of a close-knit friend group since college. Two members, Susan and Greg, always order the most expensive dishes, then guilt-trip the rest of us into covering their meals.
Last weekend, Dan invited me to dinner. I said I’d only come if Susan and Greg weren’t there. He insisted I should put my opinions aside just this once. I agreed.
At the restaurant, most of us ordered around $40 worth of food—except Susan and Greg, who racked up $200 each. When it was my turn, I simply ordered a $4 drink. Seeing this, two others canceled their food orders too.
