The chilling murder of 10-year-old Sara Sharif shocked the world, sparking outrage against her father, Urfan Sharif, who confessed to her brutal killing.
Sara endured a horrific “campaign of torture” for two years before her body was found in her Woking, Surrey home on August 8, 2023. Police discovered her in a bunkbed with a confession note from her father: “I killed my daughter by beating. I am running away because I am scared.”
Urfan and two relatives fled to Pakistan before her body was found, triggering a manhunt. Eventually, Urfan, his wife Beinash Batool, and brother Faisal Malik were charged. Sara suffered over 70 injuries, including burns, fractures, and bite marks. In court, Urfan admitted, “She died because of me.”
On December 17, 2024, Urfan received a life sentence with a 40-year minimum term, Batool 33 years, and Malik 16 years. Sara’s mother, Olga Domin, called them “executioners.”
In prison, Urfan faced the grim reality of inmate justice. Branded a child killer, he was ambushed on New Year’s Day by inmates wielding a jagged tuna can lid, leaving him severely injured. He survived but remains a marked man. also read…
