Recently, Harry revealed in a surprising way why he was alone in New York while Meghan mingled at a star-studded event in California. Meghan, 43, walked the red carpet solo on December 4 at the Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills, while Harry, 40, addressed the public’s fascination with their “professional separation” at The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit.
When asked about their independent appearances, Harry responded with humor: “You should have known, since you invited me!” The audience laughed, but the conversation soon turned serious. Harry acknowledged the endless rumors about their marriage, joking that they’ve “bought or moved house 10, 12 times” and “divorced maybe ten or twelve times.”
He reflected on his lifelong experience with media scrutiny, dating back to his mother Diana’s turbulent marriage with King Charles III.
“I’ve had a lived experience since I was a kid,” Harry said. “I’ve seen tales that aren’t true, and it makes you question the veracity and danger of such narratives over time.”
