On the same day that the Vatican provided a health update concerning Pope Francis’ condition, the Pope shared messages with the public on social media.
On February 23, 2025, Pope Francis addressed the public with two heartfelt messages on X amidst his ongoing health crisis. In his first message, he urged his followers to embody love and positivity, emphasizing the transformative power of kindness. “May we transform evil into goodness and build a fraternal world. Do not be afraid to take risks for love!” he passionately said.
In his second message, the Pope expressed gratitude for the global outpouring of support, particularly from young believers. “Thank you for your closeness and for the consoling prayers I have received from all over the world!” he warmly shared.
These messages came as the Pope remains hospitalized. The Holy See Press Office released an update on his condition, stating that Pope Francis is in critical condition but his health has stabilized since February 22. He has not experienced further respiratory issues, though recent blood tests showed early signs of mild renal insufficiency. He continues receiving high-flow oxygen therapy and is described as “alert and well-oriented.”
Cardinal Dolan asked the faithful to pray for the Pope, acknowledging his fragile health.
