Liam Neeson and Natasha Richardson fell in love on Broadway in 1993 while performing Anna Christie, despite Richardson being married at the time. Her marriage ended, and she wed Neeson in 1994. They had two sons and shared an undeniable bond. Tragically, in 2009, Richardson suffered a fatal skiing accident. After doctors declared her brain dead, Neeson honored their promise, making the heartbreaking decision to remove life support after loved ones had said their goodbyes.

Micheál, their oldest son, later became an actor like her. He has been in movies and TV shows like Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Vox Lux, Big Dogs, Broken Symphony, and Paradise.
After many years, Micheál also changed his last name to Richardson to honor his mother.
He told The Times, “It was mostly a tribute to my mother and a way to carry her with me.”
He was moved to say, “It was a lovely gesture,” which made his father very proud. It meant a lot to Natasha’s mother and sisters. “I’m happy with it.”
Neeson was happy with his son’s choice and took comfort in the fact that Micheál’s name and work carry on Natasha’s memory.
Since then, Micheál has made his own way in the acting world. He has worked with his father on several movies, such as Cold Pursuit and Made in Italy, giving powerful performances in line with his family’s history. He keeps his mother’s memory close to his heart.
What a sweet story! I’m sure Natasha Richardson is very proud of her son and all he has done.
