The ‘world’s most popular adult star‘ Tim Kruger has tragically died at age 44.
Marcel Bonn, best known by his stage name Tim Kruger, was born in Düsseldorf, Germany, and was one of the most popular and successful gay adult film stars.
Beyond his work as a performer and collaborations with fellow creators, the 44-year-old was known for his website TimTales, one of the biggest sites and production companies in the gay p*** industry.
At some point, Kruger relocated to Barcelona, where he lived with his partner until his death.
Fans have taken to social media and paid tribute following news of the adult star’s passing.
One tribute reads: “RIP Tim Kruger. He was my favorite star.”
Another says: “This is awful news. So sorry for his family.”
“Very sad news,” writes a third. “He was a lovely guy who’s been taken too soon.”
Somebody else pens: “What a shame. He was just a great guy. I’ve been watching his work for years, and I felt like I knew him. He gave off that amazing aura that I’m sure lots of us felt. He will be sadly missed by many.”
The devastating news of Kruger’s passing was confirmed by his longtime partner, Grobes Geraet, in a statement on TimTales.
It read: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share the news of the passing of our beloved Marcel, the man you all knew and loved as Tim Kruger.
“To the public, he was the ultimate ginger p*** star; to me, he was a sweet, caring partner of over 20 years. He was also my best friend. He touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.”
Geraet went on to address Kruger’s cause of death, calling it an ‘accident.’
“I am very aware of the stigma that surrounds deaths in the p*** industry, so let me make this very clear to hopefully cut down on the inevitable speculation: Tim’s death was a tragic, yet simple accident at home,” he continued.
“There were no drugs involved, nor was there any indication of foul play or s**cide.”
Geraet added that he is finding ‘solace in the countless memories he gifted us’ and through remembering ‘Tim’s legacy of compassion, love, and joy.’
The statement concluded: “I am aware that you all will have countless questions, but this is all the information I have to share right now. I would love for everyone to respect his loved ones’ time to grieve in privacy. Thank you.”
