Tragedy struck in Texas as 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza died by suicide on February 8 after alleged relentless bullying. Her mother, Marbella Carranza, revealed that classmates mocked Jocelynn over her family’s immigration status and even threatened to call ICE. Now, her grieving family seeks justice, hoping her story raises awareness about bullying’s devastating impact.

The Gainesville Independent School District did not confirm if Jocelynn Rojo Carranza was bullied but emphasized their anti-bullying policies. “Whenever we receive a report of bullying, we respond swiftly,” they stated.
Jocelynn was found unresponsive on February 3 and passed away five days later. At her funeral, loved ones mourned as a mariachi band played. Described as a loving daughter and friend, she had a passion for dancing and family time. The Boys & Girls Club urged kindness in her memory.

Absolutely heartbreaking! That sweet little girl didn’t deserve this. Bullying has to stop! Praying for her family during this unimaginable loss and also for the bullies, who now have to live with the consequences of their actions.
