Weighing just 29kg (63 pounds) at her lowest, she faced numerous medical complications, including a high risk of heart attack. Despite the challenges, Annie’s love for running became a crucial part of her recovery. In October 2022, she completed the Chesterfield Half Marathon, a significant milestone in her healing journey.
Annie’s turning point came in 2017 when she made the decision to fight her anorexia for herself. Over the past few months, she’s gained three stones and reached her heaviest weight since 2014, a testament to her progress. Annie shares on social media that rehabilitation is a “breathtaking process” and encourages others to understand that change for the better is never too late.
