This 80s star ….

Samantha Fox, born on April 15, 1966, in Mile End, London, England, grew up as the eldest of three in a close-knit family.

From a young age, Samantha was passionate about the performing arts, actively participating in school plays and local talent shows. Her talents in music and drama were honed at St. Thomas More Catholic School.

Modeling Career

Life took a dramatic turn for Samantha at 16 when her mother entered her into a modeling contest for The Sunday People newspaper. Winning this competition led to her iconic presence in The Sun’s Page 3, a section known for showcasing glamour models.

Samantha swiftly became one of the most recognized Page 3 models of the 1980s, celebrated for her captivating presence and photogenic charm.

Music Career

Switching gears from modeling to music, Samantha signed a record deal with Jive Records. Her debut single, “Touch Me (I Want Your Body),” released in 1986, became an international sensation, topping charts worldwide.

Her debut album, “Touch Me,” cemented her pop star status, with further hits like “Do Ya Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)” and “Hold On Tight.”

Acting and Television

Samantha further diversified her career by venturing into acting and television presenting. She appeared in numerous films and  TV shows, demonstrating her versatility as an entertainer. Her participation in reality TV shows like “Celebrity Big Brother” and “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” endeared her to a broader audience.

Personal Life

Samantha Fox’s personal life has often been in the spotlight. In 2003, she publicly came out as bisexual and has been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. She married her long-term partner, Linda Olsen, in 2020.

Known for her philanthropic efforts, Samantha passionately supports cancer research and LGBTQ+ causes. She leverages her platform to raise awareness and funds for various charities, showcasing her dedication to giving back to the community.
