Glen Rogers, known as the “Casanova Killer” and “Cross-Country Killer,” was executed by lethal injection on May 15, 2025, at Florida State Prison for the 1995 murder of Tina Marie Cribbs. Tina, a mother of two, was found stabbed in a Tampa motel room after meeting Rogers at a bar in Gibsonton. Her case ultimately led to his conviction and death sentence.
Rogers, 62 at the time of his execution, addressed his family and the victims’ families in his final words, promising answers and closure. He ended with a message to Donald Trump: “Keep making America great. I’m ready to go.” He was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m.
After fleeing Florida in Tina’s stolen car, Rogers was arrested in Kentucky following a high-speed chase. Key evidence—including Tina’s DNA on his clothing and his fingerprints on her wallet—secured his conviction. He was also sentenced to death in California for the murder of Sandra Gallagher and suspected in other killings across multiple states, though no further charges were filed.
His execution was Florida’s fifth of the year, under a warrant signed by Governor Ron DeSantis. It coincided with President Trump’s renewed push for capital punishment during his second term.
Rogers spent his final day calmly, receiving a last meal of pizza, chocolate cake, and soda. He visited with his wife and brother, Claude, who later said goodbye and prayed for him. While it’s unclear if Tina’s family witnessed the execution, other victims’ families expressed a sense of closure. “Finally… we will have some type of closure to the nightmare created by this monster,” said Randy, son of another suspected victim, Andy Jiles Sutton.
