Unstoppable Tattoo..

46 years old woman from Wales Melissa Sloan has found herself on the news with her collection of more than 800 tattoos. The self-proclaimed addict that can’t stop getting inked Sloan remains unrepentant about body art even after being labelled a “freak” and receiving social stigma. Her tattoos have made it to one of the most significant characteristics of her identity; new ones keep pouring in even in kit tattooing after parlors rejected her cooperation.

For 26 years now, Sloan has been having three “prison-style” tattoos done by her partner once a week. Her body and face now have a little sloppy ink logo on them, which does not allow her to find work. Sloan has found herself refused on account of the way she looks despite having applied for such cleaning jobs. But her willingness to work would allow her to accept a job offer today.

Sloan has been harmed by society adverse reactions. When people jump at her and scream at her that she is an outcast. Sloan advises her kids to ignore the bad remarks even when she is banned from local bars and school activities. she stays dedicated to them. Surprisingly, her kids are starting to accept body art. temporary tattoos these days are a tradition in their lives.

Sloan’s kids aspire to her and she is a role model to them. While her big kids seem to dislike her tatts, her young ones seem to be walking in her footsteps. Even after wearing foundation makeup Sloan erased her tattoos so her children didn’t like her “new” look. Everything was back to normal after the tattoos were reapplied.

Sloan’s tattoos represent resistance to negative comments, creativity and independence for her. She is not a repentant one and will not fit into society expectations. Through all the challenges, Sloan is loyal to herself and as such inspires her kids to do the same.
