Man who chased and murdered his partner with a machete on La Unión Street in Valle del Cauca has been sent to prison.
The Attorney General’s Office successfully obtained a judicial review judge’s order to deprive Hernando de Jesús Suárez Hernández, 44, of his liberty for the murder of his former partner, which occurred on January 22 in the municipality of La Unión, Valle del Cauca.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on a public street in the El Jardín neighborhood of the aforementioned municipality. Evidence shows that, as recorded on video, the suspect chased and attacked 37-year-old Diana Carolina Serna with a machete, decapitating her. Serna died instantly.
