Hailey Hosford, 27, a beloved hair stylist from Boca Raton, was fatally stabbed in a Florida parking garage on May 28. She had just arrived at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village in Sunrise with her friend, Ian Bryant, who stopped briefly at his apartment before taking her home. As Hosford exited the car, a man, later identified as 21-year-old Jackson Sagesse, allegedly approached her. She attempted to hide by re-entering the vehicle, but Sagesse reportedly forced the door open and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck and throat. When Bryant returned, Sagesse allegedly stabbed him as well. Despite being chased, Bryant escaped and called 911. Sagesse then tried and failed to drive away in Bryant’s car before fleeing on foot. Police arrested him at his apartment, where a knife was found in his pocket. Hosford was pronounced dead at the scene. Sagesse is charged with premeditated murder and attempted murder. As the investigation continues, friends mourn the loss of Hailey, who owned Hailey Janes Beauty Boutique. A GoFundMe was launched for her funeral and to fund a scholarship foundation in her memory.
