Authorities are searching for Tony Lopez-Infante, 32, a Venezuelan national accused in a May 18 hit-and-run crash in Nashville that seriously injured 21-year-old Zach Carach of Florida.

Police say Carach was celebrating his birthday when Lopez-Infante allegedly struck him with a rented Mitsubishi Mirage and fled. Lopez-Infante later returned the damaged vehicle to a rental facility in Mt. Juliet. According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Lopez-Infante is in the country illegally and has a final removal order. He also faces multiple outstanding warrants, including a probation violation in Williamson County.

Charges include leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, failure to render aid, attempted evidence tampering, and driving without a license or insurance. Despite local and federal efforts, he remains at large. Rep. Andy Ogles has called for justice and released video evidence of the incident. Carach remains hospitalized and wheelchair-bound, with his mother pleading for public help in locating Lopez-Infante. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. A reward is being offered for tips leading to his arrest.
