A striking age progression image of missing Ben Needham has been released to mark 30 years since his disappearance on the Greek island of Kos in 1991. Created by a top forensic artist and commissioned by the Daily Mirror with the approval of Ben’s mother, Kerry Needham, and South Yorkshire Police, the image shows what Ben might look like today. Kerry, now 49, was “blown away” by the lifelike portrait, saying it matches the image she’s held in her heart for decades. Though police believe Ben died in a digger accident, Kerry remains hopeful he’s alive and wants the image widely shared in case someone recognizes him. Her daughter, Leighanna, 27, also expressed shock and familiarity upon seeing the image. The artist used family photos to generate the realistic picture, which has been added to police files. Kerry urges the public to “blow up the internet” with the photo, hoping it will reach someone who knows Ben—or is Ben himself.
