Virginia Giuffre, a key figure in exposing Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse network, died by suicide in April at age 41. In her final months, private diary entries revealed by The Times of London expose a harrowing domestic struggle. Giuffre described feeling like a “prisoner” in her own home, alleging emotional and physical abuse by her husband, Robert Giuffre.
She claimed his behavior grew increasingly jealous and controlling, even forbidding her from being downstairs when other men visited. In January, she was hospitalized with injuries she reportedly claimed were from a bus accident — though diary entries suggest domestic violence.
In February, a court order barred her from seeing her three children, a loss she said shattered her spirit. “Every day that I don’t see your faces has a little less light,” she wrote.
Despite her public strength as an advocate for trafficking victims, Giuffre’s final writings show a woman privately battling isolation, pain, and despair. Her brother, Sky Roberts, said, “She was never afraid of the powerful. She just wanted to move on — with her kids.”
