Ask any parent and they will tell you that it can be difficult at times to raise children. It is especially true when the children are growing and they are not doing something they consider to be fun.
Prince William and Kate Middleton also experienced this with their children, especially seven-year-old Prince Louis. Sometimes, when they are at a public appearance, he has to be reminded that royal etiquette is important.
Often, these little clips that come from their appearances go viral because he has quite a personality. In reality, he’s only being a child, and there is a lot that is expected of a royal child.
The festivities they were at on this occasion was the 2025 Trooping the Colour, and Kate had to correct his behavior. We didn’t hear what he said, but fortunately, a lip reader was able to reveal the conversation.
It happened as the event was winding down and Kate Middleton was dealing with something that most parents are all too familiar with, a tired child. This is where lip reader Jeremy Freeman came in, because he said that Prince Louis was looking ‘restless’ as the festivities were coming to an end.
Fortunately, Princess Kate knew what to do and she snapped her son to attention without drawing a lot of attention to the family. Freeman said that she looked at him and gave the command: “National anthem. Louis, stand.”
It was a short piece of instruction from a mother to a son, but it did seem to get his attention back to where they should be. Louis was able to join his family for the anthem.
Prince George also stepped in at one point. He and his sister, Princess Charlotte will often give their younger brother guidance when making such appearances. 11-year-old Prince George did so at the Trooping the Colour festivities, and it has gone viral.
ce balcony. He saw the crowd reacting and he continued to wave, and it seemed as if he was having a good time doing it. At one point, however, Prince George cut him off and told him to stop it.
Anybody who follows the royal family understands that Prince Louis can be a handful at times. In the end, he’s only being a boy, but it still gives us something funny to watch.
