The Found Body Did Belong To Missing Teen Jay Slater After A Search That Lasted 29 Days

Authorities have confirmed that the bones found in Tenerife belong to Jay Slater, a missing teenager from the UK. This tragic discovery comes almost four weeks after he disappeared. Jay, a 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, was last seen on the Spanish island of Tenerife over a month ago. The search for Jay ended in heartbreak when his remains were found 29 days after he went missing.

The Spanish Civil Guard confirmed that the evidence strongly suggests the remains are Jay’s. He was last seen after a night out, and a massive search operation took place in the northwest part of the island. After the remains were found, Tenerife officials conducted a forensic examination. They used fingerprint analysis to verify the identity and confirmed that the body belonged to Jay. The tests indicated that Jay suffered multiple injuries from a fall in rocky terrain, which caused his death.

Before this confirmation, the missing persons charity LBT Global had discovered clothes and personal belongings near the remains. They stated that these items belonged to Jay. The organization has supported Jay’s family during this difficult time and has asked the public to respect their privacy.
