On July 5, 2017 Police Officer Miosotis P. Familia was sitting in the front seat of a police vehicle after Her overnight shift when a man snuck up to her car window and took her life, she was a 12-year veteran of the force. It happened without warning by a career criminal named Alexander Bonds, a lone parolee who didn’t care for the police
Officer Familia was a mother of three children and caring for her own aging mother. She became a police officer in 2005. In May 2018 President Donald Trump paid emotional tribute Tuesday to fallen law enforcement officers and the loved ones who carry on without them, saying those who wore the uniform “were among the bravest Americans to ever live.”
At the end of his speech he brought 90-year-old Adrianna Valoy the elderly mother and other loved ones of Officer Miosotis on stage. He then gave her the warmest hug ever stating “They(Officers) made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in safety and in peace,” Trump said. Let’s remember those who sacrifice their lives daily for us, let’s never forget this great police officer. Thank you Officer Miosotis P. Familia. ![]()
