As Vladimir Putin issued a chilling warning to Europe, claiming Russia is “ready to fight now”, a former US Air Force nuclear defence expert has revealed three UK towns to avoid in the event of World War Three. Speaking at a conference on Tuesday, Putin revealed: “We are not going to fight with Europe, but if Europe wants to fight us, we are ready right now,” as well as claiming European leaders’ actions are “absolutely unacceptable”, claiming the likes of Starmer and Macron are on “The side of war”.
With tension seemingly at an all-time high in the midst of flashpoint peace talks, one of Putin’s closest generals, Major General of Aviation Vladimir Popov, has claimed NATO plans could lead to “full-scale nuclear war”. But if Russia does look to launch some of its nuclear arsenal, three unsuspecting UK towns could be in the firing line.

Speaking to The Mirror, Gene Sticco, a national security expert and ex-Air Force nuclear protection specialist, warned that it wasn’t big cities like London, Manchester or Birmingham that need to be worried.
He warned it was instead likely to be areas with key military bases, adding:”Certainly anywhere near the US and NATO facilities.
“Otherwise, the key military centres – Telford, Plymouth, South Yorkshire, and the South East and South West of England.”
When asked specifically for some towns likely to be the victim of a Russian missile, he said: “Naval centres – this is the UK’s strength and lifeline. Strike at Plymouth and Barrow-in-Furness.”
