A controversial prophecy has resurfaced as followers of Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi warn that humanity may have only weeks left. Shahi, a self-proclaimed messianic figure, predicted in 2000 that a massive comet would strike Earth within 20 to 25 years, wiping out humanity unless global peace was achieved. His forecast, published in his book The Religion of God, attracted a devoted following—but just a year later, Shahi vanished without a trace, deepening the mystery surrounding him.
Today, his organization, Messiah Foundation International, insists the long-foretold comet will arrive in 2026 and claims world governments already know it is “hurtling toward Earth.” They argue that scientific intervention will fail and that only a united, peaceful humanity can prevent destruction. On their website, they point to rising natural disasters, global conflicts, and worsening geopolitical tensions as signs the “end times” are near.
Scientists, however, dispute the prediction, noting that no dangerous celestial objects are currently on course to strike Earth. Still, Shahi’s followers believe humanity is on the brink—whether by comet, conflict, or moral collapse—and urge the world to pursue peace before time runs out.
