Ethan “ModBoy” Bramble, once known across Australia for his extreme body modifications and nearly full-body tattoos, is now undergoing a long and painful transformation. After years of embracing a shocking and heavily altered appearance, he has begun removing many of his tattoos — especially those on his face — to create a gentler, more approachable image for the sake of his young daughter.
Bramble began modifying his body at just 11 years old and eventually underwent more than 40 procedures, including tongue splitting, ear stretching, and extensive tattooing. For years, these modifications represented freedom and self-expression, but over time, they attracted judgment, limited job opportunities, and shaped how the public perceived him.
Becoming a father shifted everything. Seeing how others reacted to him while he walked his daughter to school made him reconsider the lasting impact of his appearance on her life. Motivated by love and responsibility, he committed to tattoo removal — a painful, expensive, years-long process.
Bramble says he does not regret his past but wants his daughter to feel proud and comfortable beside him. His journey reflects growth, vulnerability, and a parent’s determination to change for the child they love.
