Authorities in Alabama are “carefully reviewing all circumstances”
after former sports journalist Christina Chambers and her husband were found
unresponsive in their Hoover home on December 16, 2025.
A family member contacted emergency services after being unable to reach them.
Officials confirmed both adults had died, while a young child in the home was found safe and is now with relatives.
Police are “asking the public for patience” as the investigation continues.
Tributes poured in from colleagues and viewers who remembered Chambers for her professionalism and warmth.
Her former station, WBRC 6, shared condolences, and coworkers described her as dependable and passionate about community storytelling.
Beyond journalism, Chambers was known as a “devoted mother” and mentor.
After leaving full-time broadcasting, she led a high school broadcast journalism program, earning recognition for her dedication to students and education.
