Two celebrated actors fell in love while working together on Broadway in 1993 during a production of Anna Christie. Despite the fact that one of them was married at the time, their connection was immediate and undeniable. When her marriage ended, she married her co-star in 1994, beginning a deeply bonded partnership that was evident both onstage and off. Their chemistry was widely admired, and years later she openly acknowledged his charm, once saying she understood why women were drawn to him.
Their marriage grew stronger as they welcomed two sons, the first in 1995 and the second just 18 months later. Tragedy struck in 2009 when actress Natasha Richardson suffered a fatal head injury in a skiing accident. Though she initially seemed fine, her condition rapidly deteriorated, and she was later declared brain dead. Honoring a promise they had made, her husband Liam Neeson made the heartbreaking decision to remove life support.
Their eldest son, Micheál, later pursued acting and adopted the surname Richardson to honor his mother. He continues to carry her legacy through his work.
