A quiet morning in northern Italy turned tragic with the death of Matilda Ferrari, a 15-year-old figure skater whose future showed great promise. Matilda was struck by a cement truck near her home in the Val Rendena area while walking to her school bus along State Road 239, close to the town of Giustino.
