The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a demanding morning on December 4, 2025, as three separate structure fires were reported within hours in Woodland Hills, Boyle Heights, and Granada Hills. Crews worked rapidly to contain each incident, treat injuries, and protect nearby communities.
The first call came at 7:34 a.m. at a 17-story high-rise on North Canoga Avenue in Woodland Hills, where an apparent electrical fire left smoke inside an electrical room on the 10th floor. Three workers suffered serious burns and were transported to hospitals. Firefighters ventilated the building, monitored air quality, and coordinated with city agencies to secure the structure.
About 30 minutes later, crews responded to a commercial fire on East Pico Boulevard in Boyle Heights. Facing heavy fire load and hazardous conditions, nearly 90 firefighters took a defensive approach, using specialized equipment to contain the blaze. One firefighter was treated for minor injuries.
The third incident occurred at a Granada Hills school construction site, where a rooftop fire was quickly contained, with no serious injuries reported.
