Venezuela has been shaken by a series of unexplained blasts this morning, with residents reporting at least seven explosions and aircraft flying low over the capital city of Caracas.
Loud noises were heard across the city and smoke was seen rising from at least one location. The reports came as tensions remain high following escalating threats from Donald Trump towards Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro. Witnesses described being woken by the sounds of explosions and aircraft moving overhead before dawn.
