Gas Station Owner Tired Of Seeing Low-Income People Struggle Turns Heads With Blunt Sign
Gas Station Owner Helps Low-Income Locals with Free Food
Frank Hemani, the owner of Star Mart, a small convenience store in Lake Fork, Texas, is making waves with a blunt sign offering free food to those in need. The sign reads: “If you don’t have money or a job, you can have a sandwich and a bottle of water for free.” Frank, a self-described “people person,” noticed many locals struggling, particularly those facing financial hardships. He decided to give back, offering about six free sandwiches a week.
One instance that inspired him involved a woman and her two hungry children who had no money for food. Frank made them a pizza, explaining, “I’ve been blessed. I’ve never had to struggle.” The idea came from a YouTube video about a grocery store making similar offers, and Frank soon saw that many people would help others if given the opportunity.
The sign has been up for two months, and Frank, who owns several businesses in the area, continues to lend a hand to those in need in his community.
