A Texas mother, named Star, decided to teach her son a lesson after he was reported for bullying at school. Administrators informed her that her son had been calling other students “idiots” and “stupid.” In response, Star made her son wear a T-shirt to school that read, “I am a BULLY.” She wanted him to face the consequences of his actions publicly at Greenleaf Elementary School.
Star explained that she didn’t want to sugarcoat the situation for her son. She said, “I’m a very old-school parent. I don’t coddle my children.” The mother was determined to show that she believed the complaints about her son’s behavior. The T-shirt not only embarrassed him in front of his classmates but also attracted attention online when Star shared a photo of him on Facebook. She explained that she posted the image to encourage the kids her son had bullied to receive a personal apology.
