In Kewaskum, Wisconsin, the local Dairy Queen has stirred up controversy with a sign in its window declaring the restaurant to be “politically incorrect.” Despite criticism, the owner, Kevin Scheunemann, refuses to apologize, standing by his message and proudly expressing his views.
The sign, which has been up for about four years, includes statements such as “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Easter,” and “God bless America.” It also expresses gratitude for veterans, offering them complimentary treats. Scheunemann put up the sign after a customer complained about Christian music playing in the restaurant. While the sign didn’t cause further issues, a photograph of it went viral after someone from Oregon posted it online, sparking a wide range of reactions.

Many locals and business owners support Scheunemann’s decision, agreeing that customers who disagree with the message can choose to leave. However, Dairy Queen has distanced itself, stating that franchisees must be respectful to all customers, regardless of personal beliefs.
