Al Roker recently shared an update with his fans on Instagram, revealing that he had been hospitalized after developing a blood clot in his leg, which spread to his lungs. He had been missing from screens for the past two weeks due to his medical condition.
In his post, Roker expressed gratitude for the excellent medical care he’s receiving and is on the road to recovery. “After some medical whack-a-mole, I am so fortunate to be getting terrific medical care and on the way to recovery,” he shared, thanking fans for their well wishes and prayers.
Roker, who has faced other health challenges in the past, including prostate cancer and surgeries for hip and knee issues, also completed the Brooklyn Half Marathon recently. Support has poured in from colleagues, including Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, and Savannah Guthrie, all wishing him a speedy recovery.
